Junior Buyer Weston-Super-Mare ??20,000 - ??25,000 + benefits Our client is a well-established, fast growing European market leading, manufacturing engineering business. They are a privately owned, entrepreneurial SME, who, due to on-going expansion both within core business and a broader field, is committed to driving continuous improvement and strategic development throughout the business. Following continued business growth a superb opportunity has now arisen for a dynamic junior buyer to join their successful operation. As a buyer you will be instrumental in developing and driving the supply chain strategy forward, driving long term improvements in Quality, Cost and Delivery. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be involved in commercial supplier base allocation, cost improvement processes to reduce material costs whilst maintaining an effective interface with site purchasing, engineering/quality teams, logistics, finance, production and other functional representatives. This is a company with a dynamic management team, seeking to appoint someone who wants to progress, someone who is motivated by challenging the Status quo and by making a difference beyond simply the basics. There is a great deal of opportunity, you will be fully supported and trained, yet given the autonomy to make decisions once you're ready. For the right person, this role will only be the beginning. To be considered for this role you will be confident and professional, able to negotiate effectively and possess excellent communication skills, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues. You will exhibit self-motivation to resolve supplier related issues and be tenacious and eager to succeed. Making sound judgements will come naturally to you as the diversified scope of this role will expect you to react to urgent demands, as well as manage vendors and cost monitoring.
