Due to continued rapid growth, opportunities are now available for Assistant Quantity Surveyors right up to Senior Quantity Surveyors to join a modern and thriving team within a leading well established independent consultancy based in Birmingham. The company are involved in diverse and iconic projects locally and across the world.
You will take responsibility for end to end service delivery, acting as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through out.
Duties:
* Assisting in conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
* Estimating and cost planning activities to include presenting the final cost plan
* Assisting with the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including pre- qualification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively
* Ensuring that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively
* Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively
* Ensuring the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
* Negotiation and agreement of final accounts
* Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages where appropriate
Requirements:
* Ideally 1- 5 years experience
* Degree qualified - chartered is beneficial
* Consultancy background - Main contractor considered
