Design Engineer (Mechanical)AndoverGBP35,000 to GBP42,500 + Pension + 31 Days Holiday + Pension.Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Design engineer required for a successful industry leading manufacturer that is offering the chance for the right candidate to develop their skillset and take the next step in their career. The role will suit those looking for a role where you will play a key role in the development of products. The company have a focus on continuous improvements and are looking for a passionate designer looking to add value.The ideal candidate will be HNC/HND/Degree qualified in mechanical engineering or equivalent and able to read an electrical schematic drawing. Experience in modification design using sheet metal and structural steel. The candidate will have good 3D design experience, ideally on SolidWorks, however, knowledge working on other 3D software will be considered for the right candidate. Ideally the Candidate willl be from a heavy industry background and have knowledge designing large structures. You will work within a small team of 4 designers, spending most of your time working on 3D modification design. You will be involved in the process from start to finish. You will speak to customers to ensure the design specification is met and work closely with quality and manufacturing. You will primarily design using sheet metal and structural steel predominantly. The Industry is heavy, and the turn around on each design is normally within the working week. The role:* 3D and some 2D design using SolidWorks. * Modification design in sheet metal and structural steel.* Mechanical design with some small electrical understanding.* Take a project from cradle to grave, liaising with others to maintain quality and answer queries .

The person:* Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer or Experienced design engineer.* HNC/HND/Degree qualified in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.* From a heavy industry with good 3D design experience (ideally SolidWorks).* Experience in modification design using sheet metal and structural steel.
