ELECTRONICS DESIGN ENGINEER - SUITABLE FOR RECENT GRADUATE
BASED STIRLING PERMANENT ROLE
Now part of the global Emerson Group, Cascade continue to push the boundaries of the design, manufacture, build and test of gas analysers and gas emission monitoring systems. Their equipment is found in a range of industrial settings and applications, and will soon be a key part of Emerson's instrumentation proposition in hazardous environments. As part of their ongoing ramp up they now need to make the key hire of an Electronics Design Engineer.
Reporting into the Electronics Design Team Lead, the Electronics Design Engineer will provide support for the development and production of Cascade's gas analysers, through the design, development and test of PCB's. Other key responsibilities should include:
- Research and design of electronic systems
- Prototype, debug, test and integration of new and existing designs
- Schematic capture, PCB layout and library management
- Creation of PCB specifications based on system level requirements
- Creation and maintenance of Bills of Material
- Managing build of designed boards with a sub-contractor
- Liaise with other departments to support new product introduction
- Provide documentation to support designs
You are degree qualified in an engineering or electronics discipline. The relevant candidate will have experience of analogue and digital design for industrial applications. You should have experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools. Candidates will have the ability to solder SMT circuits, operate test equipment and observe ESD precautions.
Attitude and personality are keen in this role. Relevant candidates will need to show passion, drive and a really solid attitude to hard work and effort to help with their growth plans.
