Salary: £17,560 per annum (pro-rata)
Working Hours: 30 hours per week.
Details: Permanent Position.

Job Summary:
The Salvation Army forms part of the Christian church and boasts an extensive social remit, providing a range of social and community services, including services for children and the elderly, those trapped in modern-day slavery, homeless people, individuals struggling with addiction, and people seeking employment.
In line with the rest of the region, Devonport House has continued to develop its services this year to sustain its remarkably successful move on programme. This work is going very well and can only be enhanced by adopting more person-centred ways of working in the near future.
Key Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Person within the service undertakes work as outlined within the planned maintenance report and the annual inspection report. In addition the Maintenance Person completes day to day tasks to ensure the service operates safely and successfully as well as managing emergency repairs. We are looking for a motivated and practically minded person with a genuine desire to be part of a service that supports vulnerable families when they are in most need.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- Flexibility, a strong work ethic & practical experience in a similar role.
- Excellent Communication Skills & Trade knowledge
- Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision & the ability to prioritise workload
Appointment subject to the receipt of two satisfactory references covering the last three years of work history, proof of the right to work in the UK & Enhanced DBS disclosure.
