A Senior Analytics Manager is required for a successful financial organisation based in Birmingham to lead the thinking of Tools & Technology (data infrastructure, software & visualisation tools) for the Analytics team. You will drive analytics change agenda, developing & delivering against the analytics roadmap & plan for long term growth. You will be responsible for building highly effective relationships with business stakeholders and increasing team visibility, sharing best practice and participates in setting direction, evaluating existing data management processes and procedures supporting reduction of data stored externally and/or redundantly in environments other than an enterprise repository.
The Senior Analytics Manager will have experience of working with large volumes of data, strong statistics/machine learning experience (using R or Python) and highly proficient in SAS & SQL. You will have strong technical work experience with big data technologies ie Hadoop & visualisation tools such as Qlikview, Tableau. You will be able to identify & influence road blocks, demonstrating technical abilities and meticulous attention to detail. It is essential that you have experience within financial services or an alternative data driven organization, directly used visualisation tools, delivered Self-Serve Analytics and Implementing data related solutions based upon leading practices in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Governance and Information Security.
The Senior Analytics Manager will have working knowledge of various teams across the business, including finance, IT, sales force management, risk, operations, technology, customer services, compliance and regulatory teams and have up to date knowledge and awareness of commercial and business issues. You will have a high level knowledge of available software tool set (eg, SAS, SQL, COGNOS, R, Python etc.), data management and information security alongside BIG Data, Hadoop, R, Python, Qlikview, Tableau.
