Job Overview
The primary responsibility is for the day-to-day running of the College's payroll, pensions and benefits in kind systems for approximately 500 employees. As payroll expert, the job holder will work independently and will be the first point of contact to answer staff queries on their pay and benefits.
This position brings with it a requirement for efficiency, initiative and an eye for detail. It requires the ability to work independently as well as part of the HR team and a sense of humour is important. Much of the work is highly confidential; absolute discretion and professionalism are essential. Flexibility is key.
Person specification:
A proven track record in payroll software operation and all aspects of payroll
Detailed understanding of legislative and regulatory payroll requirements
Strong Excel skills
Self-motivation and a can-do, positive attitude to problem solving
Resilience
An understanding and respect for the confidential and sensitive nature of the information being handled
Hours of work:
37.5 hours per week - 8.30am to 5.00pm., Monday to Friday
