Head of Procurement (Retail, food services or catering supply chain markets) Bristol ??60-??65k plus car (Audi A4), 20% bonus and pension. Permanent position We are currently working alongside a UK's leading catering business management company to recruit a Head of Procurement in the Bristol area. The Head of Procurement will present a vision and develop a sourcing strategy to support their food and operational teams to be the most innovative, sustainable food business ensuring a first class delivery for their customers. Responsibilities of the role include; Develop the right structure and manage the procurement team (4 direct and 1 in-direct reports) to meet business objectives and ensure commercial targets are met.Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across our teams, based on our Food Ideals to ensure the Procurement function meets the objectives of our food, operational teams and other support functions.Delivery of the procurement budget, leveraging commercial opportunities across the group in line with the business' growth strategy, driving change and best in class procurement sourcing.Create value optimisation on sourcing activity plans utilising SRM and e-commerce portals.Mitigate risk within the supply chain through supplier audit activity and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).Compliance with procurement policy, processes and procedures.Support client and bid pipeline, implementing procurement initiatives from initial bid stage onwards. The Ideal candidate; Educated to degree level or with MCIPS qualifications preferable.Demonstrable procurement and category buying experience, ideally within the retail, foodservice or catering supply chain markets.Commercial acumen in line with business scale and spend.Proven, solid influencing and negotiation skills.Team management and personal development experience with the ability to challenge, inspire and ensure team members excel in their roles.First class personal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders.Experienced analytical skills, ideally aligned to e-commerce experience and knowledge. please apply online for further information
