SENIOR FARM WORKER

LOUTH, LINCOLNSHIRE

OTE £32 - £35K (7:30 – 16:00 Mon – Thu, 7:30 – 15:00 Fri + overtime)

We are seeking an experienced farm worker to join our client a private family owned company, based on the outskirts of Louth. Reporting directly to the Farm Manager you will enjoy prioritising your workload and take responsibility for the day to day working of this 1400 acre arable farm. This is a great opportunity to join an established working farm and make your own mark.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experienced machine operator – tractor, combine harvester, teleporter, chain saw
• Experienced in machinery servicing and repairs.
• Good knowledge of drilling and cultivation (crops include wheat, barley, rape and seed beans)
• Grain drying experience is essential
• Ad hoc day to day activities associated with maintaining a busy farm to necessary high standard
  • Minor property repairs on tenant's properties
  • Maintaining hedges, boundaries etc on farm property and surrounding areas
  • Breeding sheep, herd of 30

Personal Specification:

• Organised and able to delegate
• Honest and trustworthy
• Willing and keen to work overtime during harvest season
• Skilled and careful machine operator
• Excellent driving skills with clean licence

It is vital you understand the importance of working long hours during the harvest season, this is reflected in the OTE.
