Title: Senior Data Manager
Location: London
Salary: £30k - £39,999 (Depending on skills & experience)
Application deadline: 13th February 2017
About the job
We are recruiting a Senior Data Manager to join the Health Surveys team in our Survey Research Centre. This is an important role working on our high profile, flagship surveys such as the National Diet and Nutrition Survey and the Health Survey for England.
These studies provide Official Statistics and incorporate the collection of data through questionnaires, diaries and biomedical measurements. The company is responsible for the design and development of the studies, data collection, management of the resulting datasets, analysis and reporting. The research teams are also involved in the dissemination of our study findings.
Working alongside researchers and other specialists you will be responsible for managing survey data throughout the project lifecycle. Tasks will range from checking early data to producing final datasets and documentation for a range of users and may also include carrying out cross-tabulations and other statistical analyses. You should have good communication skills as you will often be the contact person for data related queries and requests from other members of our research teams, our project collaborators, clients and external data users. You will also be expected to be involved in planning data management work and supervising more junior staff. Experience of statistical software (SPSS or STATA) would be an advantage.
There will also be opportunities for involvement in the wider survey, analytical and methodological work.
