Randstad Education is recruiting engaging, level three qualified teaching assistant to work with primary key stage one and two children with a variety of special education need and disabilities throughout a range of SEND setting within the West Midlands. The children's needs within these settings range from mild to severe, and you will need to be proactive and able to use your initiative to support in many different situations as and when required.

Our roles vary from day to day assignment, short term and long term temporary assignments, and permanent placements. You have the flexibility to decide where you work, the volume of work you take on and to fit work in around the hours that you suit you. Successful SEND teaching assistant must be:

  • Minimum of level 3 qualified in a childcare related qualification
  • Experienced in working with primary aged children with varying special educational needs and disabilities
  • Able to work independently and confidently with children across the primary phase
  • Engaging and eager to support children in reaching their full potential
  • Able to use their initiative and take on additional responsibilities as and when necessary
  • Capable of supporting the class teacher to fulfil any duties required
  • Consistently able to promote equal opportunities
