The purpose of the role will be to assess compliance with regulatory and internal risk and governance frameworks leading to enhanced compliance frameworks and reduced likelihood or regulator and audit censure.

The role holder will be expected to undertake the following responsibilities and duties:

  • To deliver a range of reports and financial and risk analysis
  • To deliver the operation, monitoring and maintenance of risk and governance frameworks
  • To identify risks relating to Finance and develop plans to measure and manage these risks
  • To investigate and translate new rules and regulations into business practises
  • To support the Finance Risk & Governance Manager in the delivery of their responsibilities

To be successful in this role some experience or understanding in the following:

  • Detailed knowledge of Operational Risk and Control frameworks with an Finance Contecxt - essential
  • Experience of communicating findings and results of analyses in the appropriate format to ensure understanding, determining the most appropriate message and delivery method - essential
  • Experience of providing financial information and technical communication materials to support planning and decision making - essential
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality principles - essential
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) with all levels of the organisation - essential
  • Strong organisational and planning skills - essential
  • Able to deal with ambiguity - essential
  • Self-starter and highly motivated - essential
  • Able to worth without close supervision and deliver to tight deadlines - essential
  • Experience of data management and reporting in the Financial Service sector - desirable
  • Project delivery experience - desirable
