Customer Support Engineer (Electric Vehicle Charging) covering the South of England and paying up to GBP23,000 (plus overtime and vehicle).

The Opportunity:

Our client is looking for a Customer Support Engineer with a keen interest in Electrotechnology to support a number or join their Electric Vehicle charging units across the South of England. This is a field based role where you will be dealing with customers face to face and ensuring equipment is in full working order.

As you will be dealing with customers on a daily basis, customer service is a big part of this role and we are looking for someone with an engaging personality who is able to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding and maintenance of charging equipment
  • Testing charging mode protocols and RCD testing
  • Isolation and leakage testing
  • Ensuring response times are maintained as per the maintenance contract
  • Acting as the face of the company when dealing with clients

Skills and Experience:

  • At least one of the following qualifications
    • City & Guilds 2330 Electrotechnical Training Level 3
    • City and Guilds 2919 Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation
    • Completion of a 4 year Electrotechnical apprenticeship
    • Full, clean UK drivers license
    • Able to cover the South East of England but be willing to travel further afield with the occasional flight and night away from home
