Our client based in Corby is now seeking an experienced Key Account Manager.
This is a permanent full time opportunity.
Salary GBP34,200 including car allowance
Job Role:
- To manage a composite client group in excess of GBP1m turnover, with the ability to manage an account manager / account executive or both.
- Manage and grow client business relationships
- Maximise client profitability
- Grow revenue and GBP margin from existing clients
- Advise and collaborate with internal departments
- Report key issues and opportunities to clients
- Within the sales process, gain an understanding of any organic client opportunities and expectations in order to help drive the proposed solutions to create correct margin setting and appropriate value proposition.
- Execute internal and external client processes and systems to execute service delivery to delight the client
- Build strong relationships to help drive increased sales opportunities and cost reduction through margin improvement and growth
- Create relationships through regular client contact, in person, by phone and by email, to achieve a thorough understanding of the client's organisation. In 'person visits' will be to site and to applicable end-users.
- Implement regular warehouse walkabouts with clients/internal teams to foster a strong understanding of the client's products, set up and general housekeeping.
- Complete client invoicing within the agreed timescales and with backup, as determined contractually. Resolve limitations that impact on the production of invoices. This must be managed with the agreement of the finance department.
- Prepare for client re-tenders with the GM, realising opportunities for new business and pressure points in the current contract.
- Recommend profit plan revenue and margin numbers, and provide re-forecasts on a regular basis.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role within logistics.
- Proven track record of maintaining and building company accounts.
- IT literate, experience with Microsoft Office.
- Experience in report writing
- Excellent customer service
