Senior Support Worker - Charity

Our client is looking for an interim senior support worker at their service in Billingham. The service provides 24 hour care and support for adults with profound learning and physical disabilities and complex needs.

Location: Billingham, Stockton-On-Tees, Co. Durham
37.5 hours per week
Salary: £9.42 per hour (£8.72 base rate per hour + £0.70 service type specific per hour)

Our client is a registered charity operating across England and Wales. They ensure that the people who use their services are involved in and influence what they do and how they do it.

The senior support worker will be required to assist in the effective management and co-ordination of the service, administration and maintenance.  In addition, this role also entails working on shift with the team of support workers.

Essential criteria:

• A person centred approach and an understanding of the needs of vulnerable people
• Ability to work on own initiative, lead a team and work as part of a team
• Experience of working in a caring environment with vulnerable people
• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care
• Able to work flexible hours, sleep-ins and on-call duties
