Do you have excellent administrative and organisational skills? Would you like to be part of a national charity that ensures children and young people with all kinds of special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) get the right education? Then join us as our Office Administrator.

IPSEA gives free and independent legally based information, advice and support - we're small, but influential, with a large reputation, and poised on the brink of becoming much bigger. The Board of Trustees has committed to increasing, by 50%, the number of people helped by IPSEA over the next three years.

IPSEA provides a unique range of specialist services. These services include two helplines run by volunteers and an email information service. IPSEA has also developed a wide range of high quality specialist training packages and products for which we are renowned. We create bespoke training packages as well as selling e-learning training modules to individuals and both voluntary and statutory organisations.

IPSEA is at the forefront on policy issues relating to special education and is involved in responding to consultations and advising policy makers at all levels of government. Our practical every day experience of advising and supporting parents allows us to speak from a position of expertise and experience and to provide crucial evidence of needs and challenges. IPSEA has committed to ensuring that no legislation, policy or guidance on SEND will come from government without our expert input.

At this time of growth and change IPSEA needs to recruit an Office Administrator with administrative experience to join our office based in Saffron Walden, Essex.

Day to day you will be responsible for providing efficient administration to ensure our office runs smoothly and providing support to the Finance Team.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in completing administrative tasks. You'll have excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be responding to enquiries and referring these on where necessary.

You must be extremely well organised with good time management and an ability to work in a fast paced environment. An understanding of the need for confidentiality is essential and experience of delivering high levels of customer care is vital.

If you think you can demonstrate the skills required for this essential role, we would like to hear from you. For more details on the position please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification.
