Sedgemoor District Council's Information Systems Team is responsible for the in-house provision and support of a wide range of Information and Technology services to the Council and other external stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced enthusiastic individual with a formal background in software engineering and agile software development techniques to work in this additional role within our existing team.

This role will ultimately support Sedgemoor's Transformation Programme which is currently being developed.

This involves the specific development, integration and support of in-house and supplier developed enterprise systems.

You should have the ability to work in a team environment as well as being a logical thinker, have good mathematical, verbal and written communication skills.

You will also have software design and development experience in a range of business and local authority based solutions to include but not limited to Customer Relationship Management, Electronic Records Management, Financial, Housing, Planning, Environmental Health, Revenues and Housing Benefits.

At least 3 years experience developing and integrating web and desktop based software using an appropriate agile project methodology.

Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Toolset (eg. Visual Studio C#, MVC and MS SQL) is essential. However, knowledge of Java, Jquery, MS VB is desirable.
