MODERN LANGUAGES TEACHER (GERMAN)

From 1^st September, 2017

A  teacher of German is required from September, 2017; applications from NQTs or experienced teachers are welcome. The successful candidate will be well qualified, keen and enthusiastic and will join a team of dedicated teachers in a faculty which offers German, French and Spanish. We are seeking to appoint a teacher who is able to teach German to A Level, the ability to offer French to at least Key Stage 3 standard is essential.

Redborne is a successful school on a spacious and pleasant campus near the market town of Ampthill in Bedfordshire We achieve excellent examination results with over 80% of students typically gaining Maths and English at grades A* - C.  ‘A' Level results are also very good with over 59% at ‘A*', ‘A' or ‘B' grades and an overall pass rate of 99.9%. About 80% of the Sixth Form go on to university and each year a number of students get into Oxbridge; this has totalled 13 in the last 3 years. The school is well regarded and oversubscribed situated in a very pleasant area of Central Bedfordshire, within easy reach of London. The campus includes a state-of-the-art 400 seat theatre and we have plans for further expansion to take the school to a capacity of 1,750, with 500+ in the sixth form. Following a Section 8 inspection in May, 2015 we retain our “outstanding” status. Redborne is also a National College Support School and a Leading Edge School.
