Role: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Swindon
Salary: GBP32,000 - GBP36,500
This role is on a rotating shift basis
My client who are a nationally recognised manufacturer are currently looking to add a Maintenance Supervisor to their maintenance department.
The position requires a high level of knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems with at least a technical appreciation of PLCs, robotics and welding systems. In addition to possessing excellent technical knowledge, the successful candidate will also have a proven track record of achieving through effective people and systems management.
A key part of this role will be managing TPM schedules and supporting project teams in order to continuously improve our systems and procedures. As such the role demands a solid level of understanding about continuous improvement strategies and previous experience of resource management.
Role Definition
*To set shift team direction, objectives, targets and action plans
*Implement, manage and improve TPM and PM systems
*Monitor operating performance and manage a multi-skilled team
*Effective liaison with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted production support
*Constantly strive to improve our systems and procedures
*Maintain a positive working atmosphere through effective Ensure associate development and involvement
Desirable Experience
*Time Served Apprenticeship with a minimum 5 years experience in High Volume automotive manufacturing facility (Desirable)
*High level of electrical/mechanical knowledge, able to lead by example
*Previous experience of leading/managing people within a manufacturing environment
*Knowledge of continuous improvement strategies and systems
*Proven track record of achieving through people and systems
*Technical appreciation of PLC/robotics/welding systems and other controls
*Competent with Microsoft Office applications (2003+)
*Previous experience of working to ISO 9001, 14001, and 16949 management systems
