JOB TITLE: Clinical Lead
SALARY: GBP27,000 - GBP30,000 depending on experience
WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week,Monday - Thursday 8am - 6pm + on call rota
THE COMPANY: Our client, established in 1960, are a 22 bed Nursing Home located with a grade II listed building in Ince Blundell, Liverpool. Owned and run by the Augustinian Canonesses of the Mercy of Jesus, they were originally opened to care for the ill and retired priests of the Archdiocese of Liverpool. For over 40 years this has been maintained and they also provide care to local elderly people of all denominations or none.
The home has a relaxed feel, they strive to ensure all their residents feel safe, cared for and 'at home' at all times and there is an open door policy and encouragement for relative visits. They are currently looking for a Clinical Lead to join their friendly team.
THE ROLE: Our client is seeking a qualified Registered General Nurse with experience of clinical delivery and of working with older people. The Clinical Lead will manage and be responsible for all Nursing Care within the home.

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Clinical Lead role will be an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering and ensuring that patients have a comprehensive, person centred care plan, which encompasses their needs. You should be a confident leader with excellent decision making skills, backed up by a strong knowledge of nursing and CQC guidelines.

- To be responsible to the registered provider and registered manager for the day to day care planning, application and recording of care to patients
- To assist in the management of all Nursing and Care staff and resources on a daily basis to ensure the highest standard of patient care. To assist and to manage/support all staff to deliver care in line with the latest CQC guidance
- Ensure that full assessment of needs and care regarding the patient's physical, psychological, spiritual and social needs is completed in a timely manner. Ensure a care profile taking into consideration the lifestyle, gender and background of the patient and involve the patient, family and multi-disciplinary team
- Promote patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions
- To supervise/oversee the correct recording administering of all medications
- Maintain continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
