An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Corporate Services area for an HR Adviser to join our team in Reading on a 6 month contract.
It will be working in a small team of advisers who specialise in providing an effective, efficient and professional HR advice and guidance service to the Prudential UK Business. Ask HR provide advice to Pru UK Managers in line with Prudential People Policies and Procedures & support Employees through their employment life cycle at Prudential. This is not a contact centre role with volume calls, but more a bespoke solution. We are therefore looking for experienced individuals who wish to provide best in class support to their colleagues around the business.
Your duties will include:
- To provide HR advice & guidance to the business in line with company policies & procedures and to identify process improvements
- To provide advice, guidance and appropriate challenge in the end to end process of creating fit for purpose role profiles
- To carry out HR changes
- To participate on key project activity - Pru Select, Salary & Bonus, Performance Management and support the ongoing change runway
- To understand and be competent in all general task and processes within the team
- To support Visa, Fit & Proper and other regulatory activity
To be successful in this role you will hold the following preferred knowledge and experiences:
- Working knowledge of HR policies, processes and procedures
- Experience managing a range of tasks and responsibilities, preferably in an HR environment
- Experience of handling customer (internal or external) queries directly
- Experience of HR administration
- Working towards their HR qualification ie CPP or CIPD
- Working knowledge of HR systems such as PeopleSoft would be an advantage
- Working knowledge of IT programmes including MS Word and MS Excel
