You will also lead, carry out and be responsible for the clinical assessments of all potential residents to the Home and at all times working very closely with the Home Manager in managing waiting lists, occupancy and voids. You will ensure that all the nurses in the Home are up to date with their skills training and competencies and will work very closely with Learning and Development team and Health Care Authorities.

Your fantastic communication skills and confidence in delivering clear instructions to your team will be vital. Listening skills are equally important as you’ll encourage and receive regular updates from the staff throughout the day. You will need to demonstrate experience in leadership, management, and working autonomously.
The role will essentially involve working 9am-5pm, 5 days out of 7, with the expectation that the Deputy Manager will provide a management presence in the home on some weekends. The role is essentially supernumerary to our nursing team, however the successful candidate will be required to be both flexible with their hours of work and attitude to provide nursing cover on the floor as and when needed, which may sometimes be at short notice.
In addition to the basic salary, we offer 34 days annual leave (including bank holidays), up to 6 months full sick pay, enhanced maternity pay and a generous pension.
