We have a privately owned, free of tie inn with bedrooms on the edge of The Cotswolds. The pub is located in a picturesque village with a great sense of community. The village is in area of outstanding natural beauty, but is just 10 minutes drive from all amenities such as shops and schools. We are looking for a driven, energetic, creative, personable and ambitious General Manager who is looking to create a business that in effect, would be their own.
This is one of those opportunities that only crops up very rarely; a chance to develop something special with the added attraction of being left pretty much in control of the business and the running of the property.
Some of the Front of House team currently in place would remain under new management, but the General Manager will have the responsibility of recruiting a Kitchen team. We expect great things on the food front and are looking to raise the profile of the restaurant dining side of the inn.
The ideal candidate will have the experience in running their own business, both in terms of hands-on operations as well as staffing, cost control, PR, sales & marketing and reporting. They will have experience in the public house, restaurant or small hotel sector, have a proven track record of budget management together with the ability to attract staff, then recruit, train and manage them.
Reporting directly to the owners, the General Manager will however be given enough autonomy to shape the business accordingly.
An excellent salary package, with profit related bonuses is offered together with the availability of live-in accommodation.
