A successful and dynamic Automotive manufacturing business in the Oxfordshire area are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join their established Manufacturing Engineering team to support continued growth.
The role:
- The Estimator will Control Drawing and engineering modifications
- Creation of labour, component and tooling estimations and quotations.
- VA / VE Generation and analysis
- Profit / Loss calculations for automotive components.
- Part cost control
- The Estimator will Calculate manufacturing costs
- Customer interface and account management activities
- The Estimator will negotiate costing's with Automotive clients.
- Project estimating and cost evaluation
The Estimating Engineer candidate:
You will have a can do attitude and able to effectively manage your time whilst working within tight deadlines and a pressurised environment. You will also have the ability to converse at all levels of the organisation, with the customer and happy to travel occasionally including overseas.
The Estimation Engineer should be able to prove:
- B-tec level 3 / ONC level qualification minimum in an engineering discipline
- An understanding of the Automotive industry or similar fast paced Engineering / Manufacturing sectors.
- Ability to read and manipulate 3D Cad models and engineering drawings.
- Experience or an understanding of Costing / Estimating for welded assemblies
- Computer literate
- Costing / Estimation experience.
Candidates will likely have been working with similar job titles such as:
Cost Engineer / Estimating Technician / Proposals Engineer / Estimating Manager / Tendering Engineer / Procurement / Manufacturing Engineer.
