Trainee Manager required to join established children's care provider in Liverpool. Salary up to £30,000 including allowances. Full training given with progression up to Registered Manager available.
Full time vacancy for a Trainee Children's Home Manager to join a well established, family run care organisation looking after children and teenagers in a care setting.
Children's Home Trainee Manager Requirements:
- Willing to work shift patterns including nights and weekends
- Full driving licence
- Must be over the age of 21
- Must hold Level 3 Diploma Children & Young People or equivalent
- Must hold or be willing to complete additional regulatory qualifications in Leadership & Management
- Must have at least one years experience of managing staff
- Must be willing to undergo thorough reference checks and an Enhanced DBS check (cost met by employer)
- Although not a requirement, experience in health care or social care sectors would be beneficial
Children's Home Trainee Manager Main Duties:
- Running the Children's Home in accordance with Ofsted and Regulatory requirements at all times and learning from the Registered Manager
- Ensuring the Home is providing a suitable caring and nurturing environment for the young people
- Managing the staff team effectively, liaising with HR where required to ensure staff issues are dealt with appropriately
- Ensuring recruitment of appropriate staff is carried out where needed, to keep adequate staffing levels at all times
- Managing the finances of the Home in accordance with Company procedures, working alongside the Accounts Department
- Attending regular, normally monthly, management meetings to discuss best practice with other managers and senior stakeholders
- Liaise with governing bodies as and when required e.g. Local Authorities, Ofsted, Police
Children's Home Trainee Manager Necessary Skills & Qualities:
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all groups of people, from young people to Directors of the business, as well as external Professionals
- Knowledge of current Regulatory requirements
- Ability to work within Company rules and procedures
- Excellent team player
- Enthusiasm for the role
- Willing to learn and train on the job
