Job Summary:

As an IT professional the SAP SD Business Analyst is competent to work on support and project work with minimal supervision as well as serving as a support and mentoring resource for others. The Business Analyst will analyze business processes, suggest improvements and design and implement said processes and improvements. Process documentation and management of user acceptance testing is also required. A firm technical background in SAP SD Module, coupled with extensive experience in SAP Order management, pricing and rebates, billing and invoicing and the integration into MM and FICO.

Essential functions:

Working in the SAP Business Analyst area, responsible for providing tier 2 support and mentoring in the Sales and Distribution areas of SAP; specific focus provided at Month End and Quarter End periods.
Responsible for project work on SAP ranging from end to end management of small enhancements to contributing to large implementations on SAP.

Overall Objectives:

An expert in the order to cash processes, the SD analyst will conduct analysis, design, evaluation, modification, testing and implementation of the SAP enterprise wide systems in the SD functional areas including but not limited to:
Receiving and processing sales orders
Defining and configuring item categories with standard billing, billing plans, and revenue recognition.
Complex pricing using SAP condition techniques, routines and calculations
Scheduling and processing deliveries
Billing and managing credit
Implement new and maintain existing business solutions in the SAP SD area based on an analysis of the business requirements
Build professional relationships with clients, management and team members located in various locations worldwide, to ensure efficient delivery of support, projects and enhancements
Close integration with other SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, and WORKFLOW) and other SAP Business analysts in a small group
Deliver clear and detailed specifications, and keep close communication with ABAP development team
Conduct analysis of system specifications and uses the latest analysis/diagramming tools to represent business/technical processes
Develops conversions and system implementation plans using tools such as ECATS and LSMW.
Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation
Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards
Coordinates system upgrade activity internally or externally, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions.

Required education and experience:

Certified - Sales and Distribution
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
Any additional languages would be a distant advantage
