Randstad Education are currently assisting a Primary School based in South Leeds who are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join them on a permanent, full time basis. The main purpose of this role is to offer a safe, secure and supportive environment for the children, ensuring you are providing opportunities to aid with and foster growth and development within the nursery.

Responsibilities:

  • To support the planning and implementation of activities with individual or groups of children; promoting effective teaching and learning.
  • Provide a purposeful, stimulating environment rich in learning opportunities, both indoors and outdoors.
  • To promote the inclusion of all children.
  • Use professional knowledge of the individual and diverse ways that children learn and develop, to meet their differing needs.
  • Establish positive and sensitive relationships with children.
  • To act as a role model and set achievable expectations.
  • Meet the physical needs of children, whilst promoting independence.
  • Ecourage children to interact and work co-operatively with others.
  • To support the nursery?s commitment on safeguarding children in all aspects of the nursery service.
  • Develop positive and sensitive relationships with parents and carers to support their role in children's learning.
  • Undertake any duties set to you by the Management Team that will assist in the dayto-day running of the nursery.

Successful Candidate:

  • Must be experienced and / or Qualified to Level 2 minimum
  • Organised and reliable
  • Dedicated to the childrens learning
  • A strong understanding of the safeguarding of children within the nursery
  • Passionate about working with young children
  • Able to demonstrate a committed and approachable nature
  • Able to remain calm in challenging environments
  • A natural communicator - can effectively communicate with parents and carers regarding any issues, concerns or feedback regarding the children
