Project People are recruiting for an Employee Relations Specialist to work with a national telco organisation in Maidenhead.

Supporting staff through a transformation programme, your key responsibilities will be:

To support managers through the individual consultation process - using tools provided to ensure manager is supported, ready and that process is fair and in line with our defined approach (legal, procedural & experience).

  • Working within a multi-functional team to defined and consistent processes and principles to ensure exceptional people experience
  • Providing managers with responses to individual's questions and issues where required
  • Taking a more hands-on approach to higher risk, more complex individual issues (eg maternities, ill-health)
  • Responsible for coordinating post-consultation aftercare with managers and individuals, tracking progress and ensuring each individual process is being progressed in accordance with timescales
  • Working closely with managers to ensure they understand and are following processes to ensure legal compliance and that employee journey principles are adhered to
  • Supporting ER Manager and Forum process on request (eg with documentation or picking up key actions, supporting communications, facilitating sub-group discussions where needed)
  • Providing general ER support and advice throughout the change process as required ensuring success and excellent employee and manager experience.

Key Skills/Attributes:

  • Experience of delivering a first class employee and manager experience whilst ensuring compliance with legal requirements
  • Experience of supporting business restructures resulting in assessments, re deployments and redundancies
  • Experience of supporting individual consultation processes
  • Expert working knowledge of legislation and practice relating to consultation and redundancy processes
  • Able to work in a team to deliver shared objectives and consistent approach
  • Able to work with a fast-paced complex environment and with a degree of ambiguity
  • Happy to take a hands-on, flexible approach - will get stuck in where needed to ensure success
  • Excellent organisational skills to keep track of processes and report on them as required
  • Proven ability to deliver quality work to deadline.
  • Good commercial understanding and a genuine interest and curiosity about the business.
