Technical Author - Junior/Graduate

Our leading software client is looking for a junior/graduate technical author to join its friendly and supportive documentation team. With guidance from your colleagues, you will be responsible for delivering online help, user guides, API documentation, integration guides, and other technical documentation for a range of software products. In addition, you will manage multiple complex documentation projects and embrace the challenge of working with remote teams all over the world.

Our client is looking for a person who is enthusiastic about technical writing, who can embrace challenging technology, and wants to innovate in technical communications.

This is an excellent opportunity to start or develop your technical authoring career and as the ideal candidate, you will be:

• A technical author with 1-2 years' experience and looking to develop further, or:
• A graduate in the arts, IT, maths, science or technical communication looking to start a career in technical writing.

You will also:

• Have a love of writing.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand technical concepts and explain them in simple, clear and concise terms.
• Have good attention to detail.
• Ideally, have experience of one or more of the following: MadCap Flare; Agile/Scrum; Atlassian products, eg Confluence or JIRA.
• Be a self starter who's happy to manage your own workload and prioritise as appropriate.
• Ideally, have a university degree, which would be advantageous but is definitely not essential.
