Due to continued growth and expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a talented Marketing Manager to join our small but highly effective Marketing Team. Based at our offices on the western fringes of Bury St Edmunds you will be responsible for supporting the Group Head of Marketing in the day-to-day running of the marketing department alongside implementation of marketing strategy.

 

The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring consistent high quality standards of marketing collateral are produced and will look to support the Group Head of Marketing to develop the team.

In addition, you will oversee team projects, liaising with external agencies to ensure delivery against tight deadlines.

 

You will be highly competent in producing engaging and creative copy, editing and proof reading. You will oversee the broadcasting of internal communications, attend client photo-shoots and represent Servest at trade exhibitions.

 

Successful candidates will demonstrate resilience and the ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes pressured environment, often to strict deadlines. We are seeking candidates who possess outstanding attention to detail, are highly literate and excel in copy writing. Technically minded, you will have a good grasp of the full Adobe suite to include InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. Candidates who have the ability to edit and create pdf documents would find this skill advantageous. Furthermore, you will have sound Microsoft Office skills with particular bias for Word and Excel.

 

You will possess excellent organisation and prioritsation abilities in order to effectively manage the team's workload and to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner and you will be adept at diary management and scheduling of work. We would be interested to hear from candidates who have an analytical disposition and those who have knowledge and understanding of market segmentation would be highly desirable.

Primary duties will include:

  • Day-to-day supervision and direction of the group marketing team; undertaking associated people management activities
  • Being a driving force behind the implementation of group marketing strategy
  • Coordinating with the planning, delivery and review of the group marketing activities within allocated budgets
  • Owning the relationships with external marketing agencies to ensure briefing and delivery of all marketing activities / materials are on time and to brand standards
  • Ensuring that all digital marketing activities are delivered to promote awareness of the Servest brand
  • Dealing effectively and efficiently with all marketing requests and enquiries from both internal and external parties
  • Writing articles and copy editing for press and internal communications
  • Delivering and managing marketing projects to tight deadlines
  • Attending client meetings, site visits, photo-shoots and trade exhibitions
  • Reporting and scheduling activities

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role, with a preference for candidates who have thrived in a Business to Business environment
  • Success in leading small to medium-sized marketing teams within a commercial setting
  • A degree or equivalent in Marketing or a related subject
  • A tenacious, highly organised and pro-active individual – You will be process orientated and will be a driving force to ensure consistent delivery and high quality
  • A clear, confident, articulate communicator – You will have outstanding standards of written and oral English; effective copy writing skills and your exceptional attention to detail will make you a competent proof reader
  • An excellent relationship builder – You will be practiced at engaging with stakeholders and customers at all levels, building rapport and forging long-standing relationships
  • A highly-organised individual – It goes without saying that you will possess exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills with high attention to detail
  • IT Literate – You will have a good understanding of MS office packages. Experience across the Adobe suite would be preferable – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
  • Creative, imaginative and innovative – You will be an “outside the box” thinker with a “can-do” attitude; you will demonstrate flair and creativity in all that you do.

 

The Marketing Team deliver outstanding support to our business and clients throughout the week, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 09:00-17:30, however flexibility to meet the needs of our business is essential and some ad hoc travel will be required.
