About us

At Bath Spa University we work with one clear vision: to be a leading university in creativity, culture and enterprise. And as the fifth largest employer in Bath and North East Somerset, we're really bringing our local talent out on a global scale. And with ever growing student numbers, it's important for an expansion in our infrastructure and cherished buildings and landscapes. Transforming the lives of our socially engaged global students starts with making sure that our people, people like you, are engaged, empowered and feel valued for the hard work they do. And that's where you come in.

About the role

We are in the process of implementing a new integrated HR and Payroll system, this will be an ideal opportunity to gain your first experience of working on an important project for a large education institution.  Working within the HR department, you will provide general support to the HR Administration team during the data migration and implementation phases of the new system. This temporary post will play a vital role in maintaining the day to day service of the HR Administration team during this busy time, and will also undertake data entry into the new system - it is essential that the quality of this data is accurate and the out of date data is archived or destroyed as appropriate.

About you (requirements)

If you enjoy administrative work, like to provide a good service to customers and are keen to learn in a fast paced environment, then you are the type of person we are looking for. With a positive and professional approach, you will be self-motivated and able to use your own initiative, whilst working effectively as part of a team.  You will have good computer literacy skills and be able to demonstrate excellent accuracy and attention to detail.  Ideally you will have some experience of working in an administrative environment, but this is not essential.

Whilst some of the data entry work maybe repetitive, this role will give you the opportunity to work within a wider HR function, and gain experience of wider administrative duties.

If you can demonstrate a willingness to learn and the ability to meet deadlines, we would welcome an application from you.
