What will the role involve?

In this role you will support customers to gain employability skills to enable their progression towards employment. You will deliver a combination of skills training, structured job focused training programs, workshops and supported job search.

Some of the main accountabilities will include:

Delivery of tailored programmes to enable learners to move closer to sustainable employment.
Differentiation of training delivery to ensure the learning needs of customers are met.
Work with the team of coaches and employers to develop sector focused programs leading where possible to guaranteed interviews and sustained job entries.
Carry out assessments on the job readiness and skills levels of customers to enable tailored training and support to be offered.
Deliver high quality differentiated training which meets Ofsted and audit requirements.
Deliver structured training programs and workshops designed to improve the employability skills of customers.
Assist customers in the preparation and updating of CVs and self-marketing material.
Coach and support customers through job search techniques.
Provide customers with impartial information, advice and guidance to help them make informed decisions about which option they may wish to undertake
Ensure customers records are maintained and kept up-to-date.
Ensure that contractual requirements are being met.
Achieve agreed individual and team targets in relation to starts, attendance, retention, appropriate and timely achievement and learner progression.
Liaise with referral bodies and other departments to assist in monitoring and processing of customer details and information.
Liaise with sub-contractor and delivery partners to ensure customers obtain the best possible opportunities and service.
Attend and assist in out of office hours marketing events as appropriate.
Contribute to the sharing of good practice and support continuous improvement
Promote a positive image of the Company and all of the services it delivers.
Actively contribute to the maintenance of a professional and welcoming environment.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Be prepared to work across centres and locations as required.
What skills, experience, and qualifications are we looking for?

Your application must be able to demonstrate:

Experience working in a teaching and learning environment - supported by a qualification such as PTTLs
Experience running creative workshops, particularly those around job search, employability skills, career development and confidence building
The ability to work in a target orientated environment and achieve required measures of success and quality
Experience in the delivery and assessment of accredited qualifications in the field of employability, vocational training and career development
Mathematics and English qualifications at Level 2 or above
A formal assessing qualification such as an A1 or TAQA would be useful
The ability and confidence to identify and challenge inappropriate and extremist views and ideas.
