We are currently working with a leading global engineering consultancy looking for an experienced Senior/Principal Structural Engineer to join their well-established and experienced Water Engineering team in their Exeter office.
You will have the opportunity to work on a challenging mix of projects in wastewater engineering, community infrastructure, flood risk management and water sensitive urban design. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Produce clear and concise calculations and check and review calculations by others, including QA and technical reviews.
* Carry out domestic property condition surveys, compile reports and advise of any foundation strengthening works required.
* Deal with site queries as and when required.
* Oversee the production of CAD drawings produced by others for accuracy and quality.
* Project management for a variety of clients across a range of projects
* Managing teams of engineers, along with line management and mentor responsibilities.
* The use of structural analysis and design software (i.e., STRAP, TEDDS, SCALE etc.).
Minimum Requirements
* Significant experience as a structural Engineer working on water related projects.
* Experience and ability to deliver successful projects and developing good working relationship with clients and key stakeholders.
* Experience in the structural design of water retaining structures within the water industry to current standards.
* Site experience.
* Project Management experience and capability, proven experience of managing teams.
* A working knowledge of structural analysis and design software (i.e., STRAP, TEDDS, SCALE etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
* Degree educated or equivalent in Structural, Civil/Water Engineering or equivalent.
* Chartered Engineer with IStrcutE, ICE, CIWEM or equivalent.
