My client is a highly prestigious professional services organisation with operations and sites across the UK. They are looking to hire an Interim Financial Controller for a period of 6 months for a role with 2 distinct parts to it:
- Firstly to manage a team responsible for the production of the monthly management accounts and help to drive improvements around process, systems and automation thus enabling a faster close process
- Secondly to work with IT staff and other senior finance managers to build an improved application for the management of their time-sheeting and revenue recognition process which will also help to enable a faster monthly close process
Interested applicants must:
- Hold a formal accounting qualification and have extensive team management experience
- Be able to demonstrate their ability, and prior success, in driving improvements to monthly close processes
- Be able to demonstrate recent experience of working in a complex professional services environment which charges out its staff and have strong knowledge of timesheet / revenue recognition processes
- Be accomplished in building relationships with varied senior stakeholders
- Be available to start in the next couple of weeks
