Elevation Senior Finance are currently working with a successful and long-standing, Sheffield based, FTSE listed business as the seek to appoint a Group Financial Controller. This role would provide close support to the Group Finance Director and assume day to day management of the finance function. The Group Financial Controllers' primary focus will be to take ownership for the groups financial management/reporting and lead the monitoring of the internal control environment.
To achieve this key responsibilities will include:
- Accurate and timely production of the monthly management accounts and group reports for presentation to the board.
- Production of the statutory accounts for the Group and its various subsidiary companies
- Provision of regular and adhoc reporting to the board team to support strategic decision making
- Preparation of group budgets, forecasts and business plan
- Involvement in tax strategy, corporation tax and VAT
- Take the lead on the review and implementation of accounting systems to ensure fit for purpose
- Management and development of the finance function
This opportunity would best suit an experienced Financial Controller or ambitious Finance Manager who has developed a broad and varied skill-set across their career to date. The individual will have regular interaction with staff at all levels within the business so will need to pair their skills with a personable, confident and professional approach.
