An exciting opportunity has been created to further your career in one of the most challenging Electro-mechanical (Instrumentation) industries. Working as a Test Technician is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible engineer to join a world class company at our consolidated factory site in Torquay. The successful candidate will be expected to work on a range of products and immediately engage into a commercially driven and multi-disciplined team.
Responsibilities include :
- Testing of various Electronic/Electrical products
- Test & repair to component level
- Analyse faults and advise on corrective actions
- Carry out quality checks on goods in to ensure high standards of manufacture are being achieved
- Support and design test equipment/set-ups to aid in the production QA process
- Assembly of quality critical products using sign-off sheets and QA throughout the build
- Report processes using ERP/computer system
Person Specification :
Skills, Experience and Knowledge :
- Highly professional and enthusiastic technician (technical support experience desirable)
- Competent in the use of MS Office, Excel and Word
- Experience in electronic/electrical/ production testing/engineering
- Fault finding to component level
- Experienced in use of test equipment such as multi-meters/oscilloscopes
Personal Qualifications :
- ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in a related subject - electronics/electrical engineering
or
- Other recognised training in electronics/electrical engineering with a minimum of 3 year experience
Personal Qualities :
- Good oral, written and verbal communication skills
- Outgoing confident personality
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Determination to succeed
- Able to use initiative
- Team player
- Committed and willing to work the hours required to get the job done
- Willing to learn and adapt to changing role requirements
- Ability to be both self-directed and independent in task execution and management to work within a team of support engineers
- Systematic and logical with strong ability in troubleshooting and problem solving skills
