Support Worker – Excellent Development Opportunity
Dartington, Nr Totnes
£8.00 - £8.75 per hour (+ additional premium for night duty) Plus Pension, Full Training, Childcare Vouchers, Staff Discount Scheme, 28 Days’ Holiday (pro rata for part time)

Are you a friendly and enthusiastic individual looking to embark on a rewarding career? If so, this is an amazing opportunity to join a successful charity that is dedicated to making a positive impact on young people’s lives.

With 20 years of success, our client provides a wide range of programmes and services to support children and young adults with learning disabilities.

There are now opportunities to join both their night team and day team on a full time, part time or casual basis, working night shifts, day shifts or early morning shifts.

You’ll be provided with full training and ongoing support in your role to ensure that you achieve your professional ambitions and have the skills you need to deliver an outstanding level of care.

As a Support Worker, you’ll help to provide a high level of support to children and young people at our client’s residential and short breaks home in Dartington.

Taking a friendly, empathetic approach, you’ll help to deliver a 24/7 service to support individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.

You’ll enable children and young people to achieve their goals, targets and aspirations within a safe, welcoming and fun environment, in-line with their care plan.

Interested? Whilst no experience is necessary, you must be willing to gain your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care within two years of starting your role.

As a Support Worker, you must also have a friendly, encouraging and easy-going attitude, as well as great communication skills.

Our client is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and they expect all staff to share their commitment. As such, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

It would be great if you had previous experience in a support or care role, but this is by no means essential. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care (or equivalent) would also be beneficial.

Please note, this role is available on a full time, part time or casual basis, working day shifts, early morning shifts and night shifts.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop an engaging career with a forward-thinking not-for-profit organisation. Apply today!
