Business Development Manager
Construction/Security/Monitoring/Sales
eSift are currently looking for an enthusiastic, new business focused individual with previous experience of successfully selling into the construction sector to join our client, the leading global integrated security company, specialising in the provision of security products, services and solutions.
Location: Based in the Luton/Northampton area to cover the majority of the South of England
Salary: GBP38k per annum plus circa GBP20k OTE, company car and other benefits
Within this role you will be solely responsible for sourcing new business opportunities within the construction market, targeting the likes of Quantity Surveyors and other key decision makers to successfully sell in a variety of security and monitoring services and equipment for project/development sites.
You will be required to represent the company and brand in sourcing new leads and follow-up on leads provided by colleagues and other contacts to generate additional business and maximize company revenues.
You will also be responsible for; ensuring customer debriefs are conducted for all unsuccessful quotes/tenders, monitor the security market segment to identify, evaluate and develop plans to capture opportunities, build relations with key sector players to influence and guide the development of the Monitoring market in general, support operations in development of products and services and training of personnel and develop relationships and look for opportunities to develop other areas of current client business
To be successful in this position you will have/be;
- Proven success of selling into the construction sector in the past with pre-existing relationships with key decision makers.
- Previous experience in the electronic security industry, selling in the Alarm Monitoring and/or CCTV Monitoring sector would be a distinct advantage
- New business focused with a drive to source and develop new leads for the business
- Wide experience in selling services in a competitive market segment
- Strong communication and presentational skills; capable of communicating 'technical' concepts to a non-technical audience
- Target driven with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets
- The ability to think creatively, understand customer requirements and the capability to match these to Company solutions
- Experience in the use of Salesforce.com or a similar CRM system would be an advantage but not essential
- A full clean driving licence as this role is based out on the road
