Barclay Meade finance & accountancy recruiting for a Assistant Accountant for the Southampton area for a on going contract
My client based in Southampton are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team for an on-going contract. This role will be supporting Senior Accountants within the business, alongside management accounts and reports.
A considered candidate will have to have strong excel skills, able to process on Pivot Tables and V-Lookups is a must. Attention to detail who is a quick learner
Duties:
* Monitor and report expenditure by indirect cost centres.
* Monitor and reconcile raw material transactions.
* Reconcile solutions/duty/freight accounts.
* Run and report the production returns from DC and investigate any anomalies.
* Update and issue Project Review sheets.
* Process employee time sheets for capital projects.
* Reconcile and monitor manufacturing accruals & prepayments.
* Assist with budgets and forecasts.
* Create and maintain an IT capital expenditure tracker.
* Completion of National Statistics forms.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and journal posting.
* Filing journals and balance sheet recs
* Assist with month end activities.
* Perform any other duties as required (Duties may also be modified over time)
* Over head costing
