JOB TITLE: Project Engineer

SALARY & BENEFITS: Dependent on Experience

WORKING HOURS: 8.00am - 4.30pm

THE COMPANY:Our Client based in Northampton are a leading provider of Intelligent Building Control solutions. Established in 1983 they remain and independent privately owned company. Providing customers with a service from design, manufacture and installation of Electric control solutions they are now looking for a Project Engineer to join their team.

THE ROLE: The Projects Department based at our clients Northampton office provides a turnkey service for the delivery of new / refurbished BMS installations including, but not limited to: Design of control panels / systems and generation of description of operations, and liaising with department managers regarding the scheduling and planning of electrical installation, software and commissioning works.

The Project Engineer will ensure the effective delivery of contracts and assist the development of new business through building good relationships with contractors and consultants..

Key Responsibilities:
• Review of project tender documentation
• Actively seek plant information from customers/site to ensure accurate designs for electrical
loading/connection purposes
• Engineer/design projects in line with issued contract information
• Arrange sales handover meetings for new projects with Sales Engineers and Electrical installation Engineers.
• Liaise with Departmental Managers to schedule Electrical Installation, Software Engineering and Graphical/Commissioning works

THE CANDIDATE: The ability to design and manage projects up to the value of GBP200k is required and a good knowledge of building control systems would be a distinct advantage. You will be friendly, enthusiastic and a good team player.

Key experience Desirable for Experienced Project Engineer the role:
• Five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyse and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, electrical wiring documents and contract specifications.
• A good understanding of HVAC applications of controls.
• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
• Ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Computer literate and fluent with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Full UK driving Licence essential
