Blackburn

We are looking to enhance our team of Counselling lecturers who teach on our highly successful and popular Counselling Foundation Degrees and BA with Honours programmes in the School of Health, Science and Technology. Our excellent quality Counselling provision attracts a high volume of students and our team are proud to have received over 90 per cent in overall satisfaction scores from students in the National Student Survey for the last two years.

This is an exciting and dynamic time for Counselling as a whole and at the University Centre at Blackburn College we are reflecting this with a full validation of our Counselling provision to ensure the currency and relevance of our course to meet the challenges of today's job market.

You will play a key role in the teaching team on the Counselling programmes and more widely across the School of Health, Science and Technology. With an Honours degree in a relevant discipline and British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accreditation or equivalent, you will demonstrate a clear and comprehensive understanding of contemporary developments within the Counselling sector. You must have relevant industrial and/or professional experience, and experience of contributing to learning, teaching and assessment (teaching or research-related) would be an advantage.

As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Blackburn College values diversity and is committed to creating a diverse workforce.

Press 'Apply" and we shall contact you via email with our application pack.

Closing date for receipt of applications: 9am Monday 23 January 2017

Candidates successful at the shortlisting stage will be invited to attend an interview on Wednesday 1 February 2017
