Maintenance Technician - Electro Mechanical
My client is one of the largest manufacturers of quality padded envelopes in the UK and is increasing their team of engineers to increase their ability to manage PPM Schedules, trouble shooting, problem solving and build their overall skills portfolio within the engineering team.
You will be expected to have skills and experience of both Electronic and Mechanical Machinery components for planned maintenance, repairs, installations and upgrades.
To ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is completed safely, cost effectively, on time and to a satisfactory standard.
To provide a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to its optimum performance
Minimise production down time by managing the planned maintenance schedule around the production schedule
To maximise availability of all mechanical and electrical equipment
Drilling and tapping and installing components on the panel box such as displays, keyboards. Installing components in units using a soldering gun and hand tools
Skills and Experience Desired:
Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
Able to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
Experience in troubleshooting installation, fault finding, and repairs.
Ability and willingness to work on your own with remote support from management at various times.
Working days / Hours
Monday - Friday
Rotating shifts of 7am - 3pm / 1pm - 9pm
Increased on-call and overtime paid
