This rapidly expanding company manufactures a diverse range of prototype parts for a vast range of industry sectors, and due to both the successful winning of new business and the continued development of existing product portfolio, they are looking for a dynamic Commercial Project Engineer to work closely with the Sales Team in a customer facing role.
To support Design & Development, Project Teams on Tooling for New Product Introduction and existing suites of Mould Tools.
To manage and support major new projects for new and existing products.
To assist Engineering Project Management on new product design concepts, to ensure compatibility with Tooling, Production and Operations.
To create mould design concepts on new tooling programmes and work with Toolmaker to improve existing suites.
To assist / advise engineering and manufacturing on maintenance, critical spares and TPM.
To ensure that sufficient and realistic timescales are allowed in Projects to meet customer timescales.
To review procurement sourcing for new products.
Creating quotations and estimates.
Work closely with the Sales team to manage customers and identify new business opportunities.
Visiting prospective and existing customers with the Sales Team to discuss potential and new contracts.
The successful applicant will ideally possess:
HND or equivalent in Engineering discipline.
Hands on Injection Mould/ Plastics/ prototyping/ tooling design and project management skills.
High volume fast moving NPI experience
3D CAD packages.
Strong communication skills coupled with an open and hands on approach to problem solving.
Experience of dealing with customers from concept to delivery.
Account management.
Experience of providing quotes and estimates.
