JOB TITLE: Playworker
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive dependent on experience
WORKING HOURS: Full Time & Part Time - Term Time Only (Full Time - Monday to Friday 7:30am - 8:45am & 2:30pm - 6pm / Part Time - Monday to Friday 7:30am to 8:45am)
THE COMPANY: Our client run a breakfast and after school club in Aylesbury that provides a stimulating environment for all children to explore the Early Years Foundation Stage, whilst working alongside Aston Clinton School. The Out of School Club provides a fun environment for children to relax and play, giving parents the opportunity to have 'wrap around' child care before and after school.
Due to continued successful growth they now seek Full Time & Part Time qualified Playworker's to work at our Breakfast and after school clubs Monday - Friday term time only
THE ROLE: As a Playworker in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire you will be responsible supervising and for providing a safe and stimulating environment for children aged between 4 - 11 years. You will prepare snacks and breakfast, take and return from school, interact and ensure children have a fun yet safe environment to be in.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Playworker's position must have a minimum of an NVQ Level 1 in Childcare or equivalent working experience in a similar setting, candidates with an NVQ Level 2 would be an advantage. You must however be an enthusiastic and reliable person who can work well in a busy paced environment. You should naturally care about engaging with young people and providing a safe environment in which children and play and develop.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Playworker's role in Ayelsbury :-
- Minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in Childcare or equivalent working experience is essential
- Must live within and be able to commute to Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
- Must be a enthusiastic and positive person with good communication skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare desirable but not essential
