Randstad are currently looking for an experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher to take a role as a Part Time Year 1 Teacher at a very well reputed school in North Leeds. Looking to speak with individuals who can demonstrate a confident and comfortable approach to working with children within proven experience. This is a local Primary School who pride themselves on having a supportive environment for staff, allowing them the ability to confide in Senior Management and Head where necessary. Ideally looking for a flexible individual, who can be relied upon to undertake all the general duties of a Year 1 Teacher and provide a safe, stimulating and encouraging place of learning for the pupils.

The role:

• Plan lessons for Year 1 pupils
• Engage with the children in an approachable manner
• Ensure a safe place of learning for all pupils
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding any issues
• Follow the school policies regarding safeguarding of pupils at all times
• Prepare extra activities when necessary
• Ensure an understanding of different learning styles within the classroom

The successful candidate:

• Experience in a teaching role is essential
• Qualified QTS is strongly desired
• Natural communicator and able to engage children easily
• Organised and able to plan ahead
• A team player who can support other staff if necessary
• A strong understanding of the safeguarding of children
• Confident and comfortable working with children on different learning levels
• Flexible and adaptable in approach to work
• DBS Cleared
