Our client is a leading family-owned company with over 80 years’ experience and success of developing and manufacturing premium quality food ingredients and solutions who are seeking an experienced Production Charge Hand to join their busy team.

The Role:
This is an opportunity to join our growing chilled and frozen operation. The company is currently focused on delivering a program of change and we are looking for someone who is looking for the next opportunity and challenge in their career. 

Key responsibilities include:
•    Supporting the Team Leader and the Team to deliver a successful operation in a safe and efficient way
•    Management of the Despatch Team to ensure that they receive guidance and support to deliver the daily stock movement
•    Liaise with the planning office and external hauliers on outstanding orders to ensure the scheduling of packing and despatch to meet customer demands
•    Control the admin function within the department to ensure stock records and delivery documents fully comply

What you need:
The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual possessing a positive, can-do attitude, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on their own and as part of the wider team.
•    Previous experience of a similar role in the food industry is essential
•    Self-motivated and determined
•    Good communication skills, to help deliver the changes to the operation through team building
•    Understanding of stock control systems
•    Experience in stock control with external providers
•    Attention to detail is essential as is a willingness to be hands on.
•    PC literate and an ability to use new software systems
•    Flexible to the needs of the business
•    Forklift licence preferred
