Position Title: Finance Director

Based at: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Position reports to: MD and Head of Finance

Role overview: The Finance Director has overall responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the finance control and the finance department.

My Client is looking for an experienced small company Finance director with support services sector experience. This is a brand new role, based at the Buckinghamshire Office, which has been created through business growth.

The role will be supported by the Finance team who is based at the Head Office London.

Key Responsibilities:

The individual will report directly to the MD and back office support will be provided by the central finance team at Head Office.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Financial modelling including preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows
- Analysis of profitability by site
- Regular interaction with the Head of Finance (who is also a member of the Board) and the finance team
- Reporting core financial information to the Board on a monthly basis
- Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained and developing a pro-active relationship with the central finance team at Head office.
- Creditor and debtor management with a particularly hands-on role in the management of the purchasing process (cost control) and sales process (billing and aged debt collection)
- Cash management and treasury duties
- Commercial input and review of key contracts the Company enters into
- Overseeing the payroll process (outsourced to an external payroll provider)
- Financial advice and support to the MD

- Qualities and experience

- Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) with previous financial control and management reporting experience
- Good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision making, and a hands on approach
- Computer literate with good Excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles
- Good communication skills at all levels
- Able to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision making

The candidate should be confident, a self-starter, with a commercial attitude, the ability to operate in a dynamic environment and generate value for the investors in the Company.
