The Role
The Marketing & Business Development Analyst is a pivotal role that will support the business in its drive to seek new opportunities, understand the competitive landscape, provide thought leadership with respect to marketing activities and support the prospects/bid process.
You will also support the Sales Operations Analyst in sales forecasting, analytics, productivity, and other bid and technical support functions.
Furthermore you will spearhead a renewed focus on our organisations marketing activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide ROI analysis on all marketing campaigns and sales activities.
* Supporting the identification and circulation of new business opportunities.
* Conduct market research.
* Create surveys to capture market data.
* Competitive analysis to ensure staying one step ahead of competitors and understanding our competitive landscape.
* Monitor and track competitive advertisements.
* Supporting the identification and circulation of new business opportunities.
* Providing ad hoc support to the team on business development activities including marketing.
* Assist in the management of the bids database (prospect manager).
* Report the departmental KPIs, SLAs and associated Dashboards.
* Support the prequalification process and ensure that new opportunities are identified through the various opportunity databases and successfully submit any prequalification documentation.
* Ability to travel to support the responsibilities of the role.
* Manage and Control the relationship with our external Marketing/Communications company and PR Agencies.
* Responsible for internal communication/news bulletins and ensuring QSG market and value proposition is maximised in its relevant target sectors
* Liaise with other plc marketing functions to understand group activities
* Manage and control the relationship with our external Marketing / Communications Company.
* Leading the production of marketing materials and literature.
* Coordinating the production of a wide range of marketing communications.
* Providing support for marketing events and exhibitions as required.
* Assist with the collation of information for promotional literature.
* Writing articles and promotional material for the company.
* Preparing interesting written copy for our website.
Education/Experience
Essential
* University degree in business, marketing or related field preferred.
* At least 5 years' experience in a related role.
* Knowledge of sales, marketing and business processes.
* A familiarity with the Security Industry would be an advantage.
* Adaptability to changing priorities and drivers.
* Demonstrates unquestionable integrity in every aspect of work and dealing with others.
* Ability to work effectively in an office-based environment.
* Time management and organisational capabilities.
* Highly organised, detail-orientated and results driven.
* Intermediate or advanced level Excel/ DTP and Social Media.
Desirable
* Comfortable communicating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
* Knowledge of sales databases, client portals and CRM systems.
* Results oriented, independent, entrepreneurial and self-motivated.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships across functions within the business.
