Our client have an excellent opportunity for a Principal Hydrologist to join their team based in Crawley, West Sussex.

Job Title: Principal Hydrologist – Urban Drainage Industry

Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Salary: c. £50K + Benefits

Our client are currently recruiting for a leading organisation in the flood management space that have developed an unprecedented reputation for their standard of work. They have created a position in their business and are looking to hire a Principal Hydrologist in order to add new skills and expertise.

Principal Hydrologist – The role:

- This is a fantastic opportunity to join a knowledge and reputable business and take on a senior management position with the view to becoming a Director in the future

- Your day-to-day will include responsibilities for a highly talented team, business development and the management responsibility for a selection of projects within urban flooding/drainage

- You will be managing a team of Hydraulic Modellers and Technicians and will have full technical and financial responsibilities for the running of the team

Principal Hydrologist - Key Responsibilities:

- Permanent senior position and you will be measured on turnover and profit targets of your team.

- Experience working on complex urban drainage projects and an ability to liaise with clients and deliver projects in a timely fashion

- Talk with peers and attend conferences showcasing your expertise in the hydrological field

Principal Hydrologist – The Candidate:

- The most suitable candidate will be working as a Hydrologist or Principal Hydrologist currently and will have several years’ worth of post qualification experience

- You will likely hold a qualification in Hydrology or an equivalent and will have experience managing complex projects and teams of modellers and technicians
