We're looking for a Marine Designer to join our client's Hampshire office on a permanent basis! Our client is a large multi-disciplinary consultancy who provide design and engineering services for the marine, energy, and defence sectors. This is a great opportunity for experienced candidates to join a reputable company!
Due to an expanding workload, the selected Marine Designer will work on a range of exciting new projects. This role will see you overseeing work from concept sketches and presentation material, through to Class drawings. You will apply you excellent understanding of AutoCAD and Inventor to produce high-quality designs.
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of ship layouts, structures, and terminology
- Excellent design software skills including AutoCAD and Inventor (3D CAD beneficial)
- Familiarity with marine operations is beneficial
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Good communication skills Whilst not essential, it would be ideal if you were shipyard design office trained. This is an excellent opportunity for driven and determined individuals to make real career progression working for our client. This role is based at their Southampton office.
